This privacy notice is provided pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the “GDPR”) and Directive 2002/58/EC on cookies, to describe how the website www.salvatico.it is managed with regard to the processing of the personal data of users who visit it.

1. DATA CONTROLLER

2. TYPES OF DATA PROCESSED, PURPOSES AND LEGAL BASIS

This website does not use contact forms. The personal data processed are:

  • Data provided voluntarily: The optional and voluntary sending of emails or interaction via messaging links (e.g., WhatsApp) entails the acquisition of the sender’s address/number to respond to requests.

    • Purpose: Management of communications relating to room bookings and information on events hosted at SALVATICO.

    • Legal basis: Performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

  • Legal Obligations (Police Registration): Under Italian law (T.U.L.P.S.), we are strictly required to register all staying guests with the State Police (Questura di Bologna) within 24 hours of arrival. We will photograph/scan your ID upon check-in.

    • Legal basis: Compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

  • Billing and Accounting: We collect necessary financial data to issue formal invoices.

    • Legal basis: Compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

  • Navigation and statistical data (Tracking): The computer systems and third-party services (Google Analytics) acquire navigation data (e.g., IP addresses, browser type).

    • Purpose: Statistical analysis to understand how visitors interact with the site.

    • Legal basis: User consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), provided via the cookie banner.

3. DATA TRANSFER, RETENTION AND RECIPIENTS

Voluntarily provided data will be retained for the time strictly necessary to manage requests. Data required for tax and accounting purposes is retained for 10 years, as mandated by Italian law. ID scans used for police registration are securely deleted immediately after the data has been successfully transmitted to the authorities. Data will not be sold or disseminated.
Statistical data collected via Google Analytics are transmitted to and stored on Google’s servers (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC). Data transfers outside the EU occur in compliance with the GDPR and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

4. USER RIGHTS (Art. 15-22 GDPR)

The user has the right to request from the Controller: access to their personal data, rectification, erasure (right to be forgotten), restriction of or objection to processing, and data portability, by writing to salvatico.vidiciatico@gmail.com. The data subject also has the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Supervisory Authority.

5. COOKIE POLICY
